A couple of days ago, we got a call from Mullanpur village near Chandigarh to help street dogs infected with skin disease. We went for a late-night observation of the situation and a possible rescue activity as well.
When our team arrived at the reported spot, we were appalled to see the condition of the dogs. This one shown in the video is one from the pack of infected ones suffering from a mange disease – a skin disease that causes severe irritation, itching, and hair loss. Each dog in the pack was either in the middle or wholly affected stage. We immediately consulted with our veterinarian for a proper diagnosis and started their treatment. We have committed to caring for this pack until they recover from this painful disease. We hope they recover within 6-8 weeks of the treatment, and we will see them healthy again.
